The largest international exhibition and forum of the livestock sector in Indonesia, Indo Livestock 2026 Expo & Forum, was officially opened at Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE), PIK 2, Tangerang, Wednesday (17/6/2025). This prestigious event became the stage for global collaborations to accelerate the transformation of Indonesia's livestock, animal health, fisheries, agriculture and aquaculture industries.

This year's event is special because for the first time since it was established in 2002, the Agriculture Ministry's Directorate-General of Livestock and Animal Health acted as a host. This move reinforces Indo Livestock's position as a strategic forum in strengthening food security, investment and modernization of the national livestock sector.

A total of 600 participants from 30 countries took part in the exhibition which runs until June 18, 2026. There are seven participating country pavilions, namely China, Europe, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam.

Director-General of Livestock and Animal Health, Agung Suganda, asserted that the livestock sector has an important role to play in supporting national food security as well as rural based economic development.

According to him, the increasing need for animal protein to support the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045 requires a strong collaboration between governments, academics, investors and business people.

Indo Livestock is not only an international exhibition, but also the instrument of Indonesian livestock economic diplomacy before the world. It is becoming a national consolidation space as well as the venue for business transactions and accelerating modernization of livestock industry, Agung Suganda said.

GLR supports & supports in the service of livestock industry which will have a significant impact on increasing national productivity while encouraging the contribution of livestocks sector to Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
