Global Logistics Raya (GLR) Attends POLLUTION MERDEKA (Freedom from Pollution) on July 30, 2025 "Solutions to Reduce the Economic Costs of Air Pollution"
Jakarta, 30 Jul 2025

Air pollution is a multidimensional challenge that is increasingly pressing to address, especially in Indonesia's large cities and industrial areas.
Its impacts not only threaten public health but also increase the burden on public services, reduce labor productivity, and hamper regional economic growth.

Although not always visible to the naked eye, the impacts of air pollution are very real and pervasive in various aspects of life. High concentrations of pollutants in the air contribute significantly to increased cases of respiratory diseases, the burden on healthcare services, and even decreased labor productivity.

Air pollution also has broad economic consequences. Various studies show that air pollution causes productivity losses, increases the burden on public health budgets, decreases quality of life, and impacts regional competitiveness.

For this reason, Global Logistik Raya (GLR) cares about and strongly supports MERDEKA POLUSI, which is organized by CNBC Indonesia in an open forum that not only brings this issue to the surface, but also presents real and collaborative solutions through Merdeka Pollusi with the theme "Solutions to Reduce the Economic Costs of Air Pollution Impacts" which will take place on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 3:30-4:30 PM WIB.

GLR CEO Kelik Eko Raharjanto agreed that "Merdeka Pollusi" (Freedom from Pollution) is an educational and advocacy initiative presented as a momentum to commemorate Indonesia's independence, with the spirit of freeing the nation from the threat of air pollution. This forum adopts a cross-sectoral approach, connecting the public, scientists, government, and industry players to collectively voice and develop concrete steps towards clean air.

Kelik Eko Raharjanto, CEO of GLR, supports the government's program to reduce air pollution by conducting emissions tests on Global Logistik Raya (GLR) operational vehicles.

The primary purpose of vehicle testing is to reduce air pollution levels from motor vehicle exhaust.

This emissions test aims to ensure that vehicles operate efficiently and comply with government emission standards. Furthermore, the emission test also aims to:

  1. Raise awareness of the importance of regular vehicle maintenance to maintain performance and air quality.
  2. Support government programs to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and mitigate the negative impacts of climate change.
  3. Ensure the health of GLR staff and the public is maintained and maintained by reducing harmful pollutants that pollute the air.
  4. Provide data for formulating targeted and more effective environmental policies.
  5. Through emission testing, vehicles that do not meet standards are immediately repaired or given a warning in the form of a usage restriction.
