
The National Logistics Community (NLC) will hold a commemoration of the 2nd anniversary of the founding of the organization on September 27 2024, at the Swiss Bell Hotel Serpong, Intermark-South Tangerang.
The NLC anniversary series will be filled with social activities (blood donation), and business meetings for logistics players, as well as logistics discussions featuring a number of competent resource persons in their fields, as well as live music.
General Chair of the NLC, Angga Asep Purnama, said that at least 300 people were targeting to attend the NLC Anniversary event which could be used as a venue for collaboration and friendship between national logistics activists.
"Today we are finalizing the technical meeting for the NLC anniversary. All preparations have been completed including the location (hotel) for the implementation. "It is hoped that 300 people will attend, while for the blood donation activity, it is hoped that 75 people will participate," said Angga at a press conference in Tangsel on Wednesday (18/9/2024).
Also accompanying on that occasion were NLC Secretary General Rizki Utomo, General Treasurer Titin Andriani, Chair of the NLC 2nd Anniversary Organizing Committee Kelik Eko Raharjanto, and Wiliam as a representative of Swiss Bell Hotel Serpong Hotel Management, Intermark-South Tangerang.
Angga hopes that all NLC members can take part in the event. Including other logistics activists who want to join the NLC.
"We are open to becoming members, as long as logistics business people and professionals in their fields can join NLC. "But of course also through verification (interviews) by our management," said Angga.
He revealed, as a community of entrepreneurs, logistics activists and professionals which was founded on 22 September 2022, now the NLC has 1,200 members and has 5 regional administrators, namely in DKI Jakarta, West Java, Banten, Central Java and West Sumatra.
He said, up to now more than half of the NLC members are based on trucking activities.
In its work program, NLC also continues to educate members on logistics digitalization programs so they can compete with foreign logistics companies.
"Apart from that, we are also focusing on efforts to reduce logistics business taxes (including truck fleet taxes) and encourage the need for Halal Ports in Indonesia," said Angga.
Support Halal Logistics
On that occasion, NLC Secretary General Rizki Utomo said that his organization supports the implementation of halal logistics which will take effect on October 17 2024.
Therefore, NLC has socialized halal logistics rules to members, is also involved in various discussion forums with stakeholders and the Government, and is active in educational activities regarding halal logistics.
"The point is that the presence of the NLC is to create a conducive atmosphere for business actors. "We can also collaborate here and exchange business networking," he said.
In the same place, General Treasurer of the NLC, Titin Andriani, invited national logistics activists to register to attend the 2nd Anniversary of the NLC, because this event is very useful for expanding logistics business networking throughout Indonesia.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the 2nd Anniversary of the NLC, Kelik Eko Raharjanto, added that the NLC Anniversary event was open to members and all other logistics elements to strengthen synergy in the business world.
